West Island Guitars was created for musicians looking for a place to take their gear to get repaired that wouldn't involve 2 hour trek across town or spending 100$ for basic setup. Also some of the well known luthiers have wait times of 5-6 weeks which is just way too long to be without your favorite guitar or bass. We typically have a 1 week or less turnaround for all basic setups with express 24 hour service also available.

Often times beginners give up playing after a short time simply because of badly adjusted guitars, old stings, faulty electronics etc. This can all be fixed with minimal cost and allow for much better playability. With more experienced players, Guitars and Basses are subjected to a lot abuse especially when out on gigs. Temperature and humidity fluctuations also add to guitars getting out of line.
